Prof.B.Bhaskara Rao, is the Founder & President, STEM, and one of the prime-movers of ‘MINDS’.

He has more than 30 years of national and international experience as a development researcher, consultant & trainer, specialises in policy studies, social sector, reforms and change management, community need assessment, technical & social audits, executive development programmes and so on.

He was Professor and Dean, Indian Institute of Management- Bangalore (IIM-B). He was Adviser to the UN and the Governments of Bhutan & Saudi Arabia.
He holds a Master's Degree in Technology from Indian Institute of Technology [IIT], Kharagpur with specialisation in Town & Regional Planning.

  "One of the key objectives of the STEM Society, as spelt out in its Memorandum of Association, is "providing professional education for enrichment of professionals". The inceptions of 'MINDS' its graduation to an Extension Centre of the VTU, one of the country's most progressive technological universities, and the institution of its flagship programme, One year PGDIM & Two year MBA in Infrastructure Management, and also its short-term programmes like the PEPs (Professional Enrichment Programme), go a long way towards fulfilling that objective. The first management school of its kind in the country, 'MINDS' draws on the immense experience of acclaimed academicians from premier management & technology institutions as well as the two decades of consulting experience, sectoral exposure and special academic, industry & employer linkages of STEM. 'MINDS' seeks to ensure a steady supply of holistically trained domain-ready managers for the country's infrastructure sector. I am happy that this unique academic venture by STEM Society has been receiving all-out support and patronage like its development research activities have been receiving over the years".
